When Yvonne and Tony Glassman bought affordable floor depot in October, they aimed to create a new floor experience in Steamboat Springs.
“One of the things we’ve done is just try to exalt the floor experience for people,” Yvonne said last week. “The behavior of all things (tone) knows from the world of construction in the floor industry so that we can make it a better process.”
The Coupleifi bought affordable floors, located in front of the 2620 S. copper, by Chris Edvard, who owned and led the company for three and a half years.
Tony, who had worked for a prominent high -level construction company in the Vail Valley, believes he can improve the customer’s experience by implementing new technology and hiring additional installers.
The Coupleifti said his construction work gives him the knowledge and skills needed to lead customers through their floor projects, ensuring that each installation meets the highest quality and craft standards.
Yvonne also brings her entrepreneur experience to the affordable floor. She owned and operated Yoga off Broadway in Eagle for over 15 years and possesses Stay@om, a virtual yoga studio that offers a variety of classes online for all levels, skills and schedules
“I’m a serial entrepreneur,” Yvonne said. “This is the third company I own. I also own a business (some of the yoga), so hospitality and customer service are some kind of my thing.”
Yvonne said the couple likes Steamboat Springs and what the community offers. They own a building in the city and currently travel between the Vail Valley and the Steamboat Springs. They hope to move here in the future.
“(Steamamat) is just such a beautiful community, so we will surely be there very soon. We have just received a couple of kids we have to get through the door to high school,” Yvonne said. “Tony is there all the time, and then we’ve got our sales team, our manager and our project manager there in Steamboat, too. We love steamboat.”
She said affordable floors will continue to offer carpet, hardwood, laminate, tiles, luxury vinyl boards, area carpets, floor equipment and shower box for waterproofing and electric floor heating systems. The affordable floor also offers cabinets.
The affordable floor offers free measurements and free project ratings, and thanks to large warehouses is able to have wholesale order so that customers get the best prices.
This spring, Glassmans plan to add a high -level flooring store to the warehouse, where designers can lead to customers to look at the floors.
Yvonne is excited to meet the community of Steamboat Springs from May 5-7, when the affordable floors await the Mixer of the Steamboat Springs room. The new owners will also partner with the Human Society Rutt County County Society for a future pets adoption event in the warehouse that will also bring attention to the affordable floor floor line and luxury vinyl floor that is specific to pets.
“We have the same variety of products and offer the same competitive price that they have always had here, but our goal is to offer more an elevated and luxurious experience,” Yvonne said. “We also want to offer a high level of customer service.”
