Dear local businessman Jose Jose Luis Rocha, owner of Boerne Jewelers, was going home from a birthday party to Mexico for his wife, Lorena, when they experienced car problems on the way home from the airport. The two went out of the vehicle to remove it from the road when they were hit by a driver who left the scene. Lorena survived, with serious injuries. Jose Luis, tragically, no.
Lorena, recovering from her injuries, was left mourning her husband – and understanding how to continue to keep an open business herself. She soon got bored with all – the loss of Jose Luis, payment of services and renting, and waiting orders, all mostly treated by her husband, forcing her to temporarily close the store in October 2024. Very soon It became clear to be close to staying in the sea.
Meanwhile, JUST Down Main Street, another Boerne business owner, Johny Rosa, was in the process of reopening his art gallery, TEXAS Treasure Fine Art & Framing, in two new locations along Hill Country Mile. After learning the tragic news, and Lorena’s close difficulties, owner Paul HoKamp was trusted in friend Johny to see if there was a way to help. The two cooperated with a proposal for Lorena’s consideration, and after some meetings, a plan for a path was formed. Johny, who for the last 15 years has been in charge of the Fine Art Gallery in Texas Treasures & Frame Shop, shares many of the same values as Jose Luis and Lorena. “Like Rochas, my vision was to always make my places a community center – the hosted holidays, art shows and just being a great meeting place,” Johny said. And he has done exactly that-creating a comfortable place for everyone, despite the knowledge of art, feel welcome and appreciated. “Wayt Boerne Street,” Johny said.
ENAMEDAMED TEXAS Treasure Fine Jeweing, Boerne Jewelers ‘Johny’s reincarnation tries to embody Roachas’ standards for impeccable service and friendly atmosphere. The store will continue to have unique inventory, repair hours and jewelry, and create custom pieces. Although Jose Luis, loved by “man who can fix anything” is irreplaceable, the embodiment of the store Johny will honor the Racha family’s legacy in every way possible. “When we saw the battle uphill to face, we knew immediately: if there is a way we can help and bless this family, we will do it. We have welcomed Lorena to be a part of the store as much as he wants, as long as Time he likes, ”Johny said.
In addition to his gallery, Johny is bringing an interactive art experience for everyone to enjoy in Boerne, collaborating with another local business to open a sculpture garden in the front of the “backyard” of shoppes at 222 in Main Street.
